Senior Helpers and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America are co-sponsoring a tour of nationally renowned dementia care specialist, Teepa Snow. She is stopping to give them hands-on do’s and dont's of caring for a loved one with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Local caregivers and healthcare professional can attend to earn up to three CEs.

This conference, targeting caregivers, professionals in the field of aging, and older adults covers a variety of areas including dementia, latest developments in the field, caregiving, healthy aging, and more. Over 400 people converge on the college annually for the event to network and learn more about aging, the changing face of aging, and resources available.

A National Summit celebrating the 40th Anniversary the Older Americans Act Nutrition Programs
The AoA-MOWAA (Administration on Aging-Meals On Wheels Association of America) National Resource Center on Nutrition and Aging invites you to celebrate, imagine and build the future of senior nutrition in America at Perspectives on Nutrition and Aging: A National Summit, to be held, at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel, near Washington, DC on August 23, 2012.
The officially sanctioned celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Older Americans Act Nutrition Program, this Summit is a unique opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of the next 40 years and to prepare for the far-reaching health, economic and social consequences that will determine the future of senior nutrition services.
The registration fee for the Summit is $50, which includes all materials, a luncheon with keynote speaker Dr. David L. Katz, and admission to all Summit sessions. The Alzheimer's Foundation of America's Quilt to Remember stops in Napa to raise awareness of Alzheimer's Disease.
The Alzheimer's Foundation of America's Quilt to Remember is a large-scale quilt that pays tribute to individuals who have had or have dementia, family caregivers and healthcare professionals. The heartfelt arts project continues to grow in size with ongoing contributions and tours the country to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.
