Inequality Matters: Focus on Diverse Caregiving Communities

Fee: $15 (includes coffee). Pre-registration is required.

ASA is excited to once again bring together leaders from our Network on Multicultural Aging, LGBT Aging Issues Network, Network on Environments,
Services and Technologies and Diversity & Inclusion Committee, in addition to an esteemed panel of presenters to explore caregiving through the lens of diversity and inclusion. This lens includes assessment of the roles race, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, ageism, and socioeconomic and sociocultural status play in diverse caregiving communities; and how these factors may intersect and create challenges and opportunities for program and policy development and service delivery.
The Summit will also highlight current innovative and inclusive models and practical solutions, and discuss what else is needed in the realms of advocacy, policy and legislation to grow and sustain our diverse caregiving communities.
