ASA Chicagoland Roundtable - Aging Policy in Illinois 8:30 am – 10:30 am Location: Please join us for the October, 2016 ASA Chicagoland Roundtable focused on public policy in Illinois and the nation. With the deadlock in Washington and the Impasse in Springfield, advocates and policy makers are challenged in how they can accomplish important changes and new directions for aging policy. Join a panel with federal, state, and regional experience to discuss current issues and approaches to policy making. Topics may include the budget forecast; forthcoming transition in Washington; the reauthorized Older Americans Act; proposals to rein in costs for the Illinois Community Care Program; managed care for Medicaid and the dual eligible populations; evidence based health promotion; support to family caregivers, and other issues raised by the audience at this year’s Policy Roundtable. |
