Please join us for an overview of and discussion about the “2015 America’s Health Rankings® Senior Report: A Call to Action for Individuals and Their Communities.” The speakers will present an overview of the rankings, provide a glimpse into national findings, highlight the State Senior Health Rankings, and discuss ways to promote positive change for older adults.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Understand the metrics that are used to assess seniors’ health;\
  • Identify the biggest challenges and opportunities facing state governments in addressing the needs of aging populations;
  • Enumerate the lifestyle choices that pose the greatest harm to individuals’ health outcomes; and,
  • Describe how people can use the America’s Health Rankings reports (both the annual and seniors editions) as a resource in their advocacy work on behalf of older adults and effectively address their constituents’ needs.

Presenters:

Rhonda L. Randall, D.O., is chief medical officer for UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions, the nation’s largest business dedicated to the health and well-being of seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries. Dr. Randall is a fellowship-trained geriatrician and is board-certified in family practice, and hospice and palliative medicine.
Sarah Milder is a senior epidemiologist and research consultant at Arundel Metrics, Inc., a population health research firm in St. Paul, Minn. Milder is a co-author of  two nationally distributed health indices, America’s Health Rankings® and America’s Health Rankings® Senior Report.
Shelly Espinosa is vice president, grants and programs, for United Health Foundation, responsible for developing relationships and programs that enhance the Foundation’s mission.
