This web seminar will help professionals in aging better understand why older adults want to age in place, and the difficulties older adults and their families face in making this a reality.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of aging in place;
  • Identify the issues keeping some older adults from aging in place; and,
  • Discuss the challenges faced by the Sandwich Generation.


Dr. Mary Tuuk is chief medical officer at InnovAge, a provider of health and care coordination services to older adults in California, Colorado and New Mexico. Dr. Tuuk has practiced geriatrics her entire career and is interested in palliative care.
