Sex and sexuality are human needs that evolve and change over the course of our lives. The need for intimacy is ageless. There is an abundance of research showing the benefits of sexual activity in later years, yet the topic of intimacy and aging is one that is often overlooked when working with older adults. When we talk about successful aging, we need to include the role of intimacy and expressing our sexuality throughout our later years. Needless to say, there is a lot of misinformation and stereotypes about older adult sexuality. Join your colleagues on this web seminar to learn about older adult sexuality.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Understand the difference between sex and sexuality;
  • List at least four common myths about sexuality and aging;
  • Recognize three benefits of older adults expressing sexuality; and,
  • Identify three sexuality and aging resources.
