Ageism will be explored in all of its many forms. Just a few of the areas Dr. Paul Nash will explore include the difference between implicit and explicit ageism; everyday ageism; the implications of ageism; intersectionality; and what we can do about it.

Dr. Paul Nash is an instructional Associate Professor of Gerontology at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. His expertise includes Ageism and intersectionality, HIV and aging, Stigma and discrimination. He is actively pursuing research on interventions to address both implicit and explicit ageist prejudice as well as continually developing challenging curriculum to reflect the dynamic nature of the field. Dr. Nash is also the author of Critical Questions for Ageing Societies, a question-focused textbook that tackles the fascinating and important social and policy issues posed by the challenges and opportunities of ageing. He also serves as a Commissioner on the LA County Commission on HIV.
