There are common warning signs for when an older adult needs assistance, and ignoring these can result in dependencies that can be avoided. This web seminar focuses on easily identifiable signs that someone needs help, including physical symptoms, mental or emotional changes, attention-deficit signals and environmental clues.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Identify the warning signs of failing health in older adults;
  • Understand some common fears related to aging; and,
  • Discover ways to ward off frailty and help care for the entire older adult—mind, body and soul.

Presenter:

Lakelyn Hogan is a gerontologist and caregiver advocate for Home Instead Senior Care and a doctoral candidate at the University of Nebraska Omaha, studying social gerontology. She has a master of arts in social gerontology and master’s in business administration from UNO. Lakelyn has professional experience in the private and public sectors of senior care services.
