If you purchased a member registration for the conference, your membership will need to be active during the conference dates. Membership status will be verified upon registration and prior to the conference. If our records indicate that the attendee does not have an active membership at the time the conference begins, the registration will be updated accordingly and the difference in rate will be invoiced. If there are any questions about renewing your membership, please contact membership@asaging.org. If you purchased a non-member registration for the conference, you do not need to renew prior to the conference dates.

Yes, we do! There are many ways to save. 

• Save when you purchase your ticket early: First Chance (August 1 – August 31, 2026)
• Students and retired professionals receive discounted rates.
• Presenters that register prior to Nov. 30 receive a discounted rate.
• Groups of 10 or more receive a discounted rate. Email onaging@canvasmeetings.com to learn more about the group rate. 
• Volunteers have a special rate of $350. You must be an ASA member to volunteer at this rate. To apply to be a volunteer complete this form by Oct. 31, 2026: On Aging 2027 Volunteer Form.

Special discounted group rates will not be available during first chance pricing. You will be able to register two or more people at one time during the first chance pricing window.

During standard and last chance pricing windows, organizations registering 10 or more attendees as Full Conference attendees will receive $50 off each registration as a group discount.

We do not offer a dedicated government rate. However, discounted rates are available for students and retired professionals. 

Registration grants you access to all workshops, ASA-organized networking programs, the exhibit hall, keynote events, and the On Aging Celebration reception. Some sponsored networking programs and receptions may be invite-only. Lunch & Learns have limited capacity and may require a separate sign-up outside of registration due to food and space limits.

On-site registration may be available, but it is not guaranteed. If the conference sells out in advance, on-site registration will close.

No. Membership is not required to attend On Aging 2027. Anyone can register for the conference, but ASA members receive a discounted registration rate.

Working members of the press such as reporters, editors, publishers, electronic media producers, columnists, bloggers and others who reach general or specialized audiences on a regular basis with news or analysis may request a complimentary media access pass by emailing onaging@canvasmeetings.com. 

Please read the following information carefully to ensure that you submit credential requirements accurately. This will assist us in processing your registration request in a timely manner. 

Those requesting a media pass may be asked to confirm their status with information as listed on the media outlet’s masthead or by sending links to published articles. Freelancers also may be asked to provide at least two links to published pieces issued in the previous year.  

Alternatively, freelancers may provide an assignment letter or email from a media organization with the editor/producer’s contact information (telephone and email address) for verification. 

News and information outlets must contain original news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader/viewer contributions, or any content related to products or other for-profit businesses. Applicants for a press registration must provide: 

• An editorial title that is verifiable, or proof of an editorial assignment to cover the conference. 
• A hard copy or link to a recent bylined article or audio/video story credited to you. 

Online media must meet the following criteria: 

• A website must post or update original aging-related news at least once a month. 
• Website or e-news content must extend beyond links, forums, personal diaries, opinions, personal analysis or information about the publishing organization’s activities and programs. 
• A blog must reflect current aging-related news that is posted on a daily or weekly basis. 

Freelancers: 

• Provide a letter (on letterhead) from a publisher, editor or executive-level producer indicating that you are covering ASA’s On Aging 2027 conference for the media outlet. 
• Email assignments will be considered if they include the assigning editor/producer’s email address and a link to the media outlet’s website. 
• Freelancers without advance assignments will be considered on an individual basis but should provide evidence of journalistic work previously produced or published in a subject area related to concerns in aging.

Please note: Conference presenters, marketing, advertising and public relations professionals, and academic or other non-journalistic book authors are not eligible for media badges, even if associated with a news organization.

As a thank you, conference registration for approved volunteers is available at a discounted rate of $350.

No. ASA will not offer board- or license-specific CE credits at On Aging 2027. Instead, attendees can request a Certificate of Attendance from the American Society on Aging through the conference mobile app. The certificate lists the conference and the individual sessions you attended.

You can submit the certificate to your professional accreditation organization, state licensing board, employer, or other credentialing body, which may count it toward your continuing education or professional development requirements. Requirements and acceptance vary by profession, jurisdiction, and organization, so ASA cannot guarantee that your certificate will be accepted for credit. We recommend checking with your accrediting or licensing body before the conference to confirm what they will accept.

Written requests for refunds must be sent to the ASA Customer Service Department by email to onaging@canvasmeetings.com . For cancellation requests received: 

• Before December 1, 2026: You will receive a 75% refund of your conference registration fee.
• December 1, 2026 – February 8, 2027: You will receive a 50% refund of your conference registration fee.
• After February 8, 2027: No refunds will be issued. If you become ill, are diagnosed with a communicable disease, or are experiencing symptoms of an illness within two weeks of the event, please contact us at onaging@canvasmeetings.com so that we can work directly with you.
• The conference registration fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of the meeting due to circumstances beyond the control of ASA.
• Payments for optional events at On Aging 2027 are non-refundable.
• Registration is non-transferrable at On Aging 2027.

On Aging 2027 will be held in San Diego, California. We are not offering a virtual option. Certain sessions will be recorded and made available to members after the conference.

Proposal submission has now closed. The submission period was July 16 to August 16, 2026. On Aging 2028 proposal submissions will open in early summer 2027.

Presenters were notified of proposal acceptance on Oct. 1, 2026. Please check your spam folder. Submissions that we weren’t able to accommodate this year were also notified on Oct. 1, 2026.

Accepted presenters can register at the presenter rate of $585 for ASA members or $885 for non-members between October 1 and November 30, 2026. All presenters must be registered by November 30, 2026.

ASA does not pay speaker fees. We are extremely grateful that all our speakers donate their time to  support ASA in creating a dynamic and exciting agenda for our attendees. 

No. Submitting a proposal does not automatically register you for the conference. Accepted presenters must complete their registration to secure their presenter rate and access the event.

Content for the conference is determined by our team of peer reviewers and cannot be changed. If you still have questions, please email onaging@canvasmeetings.com. 

No. Both member and non-member exhibitor rates are available. Organizations selecting the member rate must maintain an active ASA membership through On Aging 2027. To check your organization’s membership status, please email onaging@canvasmeetings.com.
