Presenters:
Julie Wells is director of strategic relationships for Give an Hour, and has spent more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector on community-based issues, centering marginalized populations and access to opportunities as the focal point of her work. In 2023 she joined Give an Hour full-time following contract work on peer support as a healing tool after mass violence. She travels the country working with the populations with unique traumas that make it hard to find appropriate support.
Ryan Young is Give an Hour’s marketing and social media manager, and an advocate for mental health, blending creativity, leadership and personal passion to drive meaningful change. His personal encounters with profound loss—including losing a loved one to suicide and the Pulse Mass shooting tragedy—became the driving forces behind his dedication to mental health advocacy.
