Falls are a leading cause of hospitalization, loss of independence, and even death in older adults. This one-hour webinar will review intrinsic health conditions and impairments from external hazards and factors that increase the risk of falls. The presentation provides discussion of fall prevention strategies, including behavior modifications and a home movement routine that can be incorporated directly into a variety of care settings.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

  • Explain how alcohol and medication use can contribute to falls.
  • Identify fall prevention strategies.
